Those celestial bodies which revolve around the Sun in their orbits are called planets. There are eight planets in the solar system. Such as Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune.
Geostationary Satellite :- If an artificial satellite is so high above the Earth that its rotation period is exactly equal to the rotation period (24 hours) of the Earth's axial motion, then that satellite will be stationary relative to the Earth. These types of satellites are called geostationary satellites or synchronous satellites.
